Free Chrome extension · Automatic Amazon link cleanup

Keep the product.
Lose the baggage.

Found something worth sharing? The link shouldn’t need its own paragraph. Amazon Link Cleaner turns sprawling Amazon product URLs into short, tidy links automatically. Same product. Same country store. Much less mess.

Why is this Amazon link so long? An Amazon logo wrapped in chains beside a long product URL and a clean-link symbol.

Less clutter. Same product.

Great find.
Ridiculous link? Fixed.

Make your next recommendation look like a recommendation, rather than a wall of referral codes.

01

It just gets on with it.

Open an Amazon product page and Chrome cleans the URL. No extra button. No pasting into another tool.

02

Your country store stays.

The product ID and Amazon country domain remain. Share a neat link to the item you actually found.

03

Less baggage. No data grab.

Cleanup runs locally in Chrome. No account, no analytics, no data collection—and no replacement affiliate tag slipped in.

See the difference

One product.
One beautifully short link.

Good questions

Know what you’re installing.

What does Amazon Link Cleaner remove?

It shortens supported Amazon product URLs to the country domain, /dp/ and product ID. Long product-name paths, referral clutter and every query parameter are removed, including affiliate tags and seller selections.

Will it send me to a different Amazon store?

No. Your Amazon country domain stays the same. A German Amazon product link remains on amazon.de; a UK product link remains on amazon.co.uk. The extension supports 23 Amazon country domains.

Which links does it work with?

It supports product URLs using /dp/, /gp/product/ and /gp/aw/d/. Clicked links, new tabs and pasted product URLs are covered. Short links must first resolve to a supported product URL. Searches, reviews, baskets and checkout are left alone.

Does it collect data or add affiliate tags?

No. Chrome applies the packaged redirect rules locally. The extension has no analytics, accounts or data collection, and it does not insert its own affiliate tags.

What should I know before installing?

All query parameters are removed, including seller selections. The product ID stays intact. Amazon can still track activity through cookies and your account. The extension does not clean the clipboard or rewrite links inside a page; address changes without a network request are not handled.
