Mark O'Neill

90% of what I do is daydreaming. The rest is typing.

WHAT IS MARK DOING RIGHT NOW?

kermit to-do list
  • Kickstarting my German language learning again, so I can re-attempt to get German citizenship. Using Duolingo (of course) and an online Zoom class with the University of Würzburg.
  • Restructuring my website and tidying stuff up. Also tidying up my computer hard drive and deleting up to 100GB of digital dreck.
  • Currently on sabbatical from work, getting more rest and chilling out with my wife and dog.
  • Getting the next novel finished. Due out in September.
  • Studying SEO courses at Yoast.
  • Studying my heroes to see how I can apply successful aspects of their life to mine. So, reading a lot of Tim Ferriss at the moment.
  • Reading more books (two hours a day), and meditating more.
  • Attempting (with great difficulty) to lose 50kg of weight before my 50th birthday. Increasing my daily exercise output.

COME ON MARK, THAT SURELY CAN'T BE EVERYTHING?

You’re right, I’m also :

  • Getting the band back together.
  • Cloning dinosaurs on my tropical island (what could possibly go wrong? We’ll have a coupon day or something!)
  • Hunting down and destroying the 7 Horcruxes.
  • Defeating the Daleks.
  • Repairing the Batmobile.
  • Going to Mordor to destroy the One Ring (any restaurant recommendations?)
  • Bringing balance to the Force.
  • Assembling the Avengers.
  • Getting back to 1985.
  • Saving the Cheerleader.
  • Living long and prospering.
  • To boldly go where no-one has gone before.
  • Looking for the one-armed man.
  • Looking on the bright side of life.
  • Defeating Chuck Norris.
  • Getting more cowbell.
  • Hiring two private investigators and getting them to follow one another.
  • Graduating in philosophy and asking people WHY they want fries with that.
  • Sitting next to people in the bus, looking straight ahead, and whispering “so did you bring the ransom as we asked?”
  • Teaching a parrot to say “HELP! I’ve been turned into a parrot!”
  • Following joggers around, playing “Eye of the Tiger” at a loud volume to encourage them.
